Welcome to the OffshoreVäst webinar on the EU Innovation Fund Call for large-scale demonstration projects! The 2-stage Innovation Fund Call was launched on 3rd July 2020 with total grant value of EUR 1 billion. It aims to support innovative solutions in low carbon technologies and processes, CO2 capture, energy storage and production of renewable electricity. The Call will cover up to 60% of relevant costs for large-scale projects that have total capital expenditure above EUR 7,5 million. The 1st stage application process will be closed on 29th October 2020 and successful projects will go into 2nd stage with deadline submission in June 2021. There is no minimum amount per grant request, the projects will be evaluated based on the degree of innovation, project maturity and GHG emission potential. The Call is open to individual applicants (companies) as well as consortia provided the project is geographically located in one of the EU member states, Norway or Iceland.

The webinar is first of its kind communication session launched by RISE and OffshoreVäst in order to facilitate cooperation among Swedish companies that could play a role in the future mass scale deployment of the floating offshore wind. The objective of the webinar is to present the main elements of the Call in a view of preparing the potential joint applications to demonstrate Swedish innovative floating offshore wind concepts and support growth of its maritime industry.

The webinar will gather industry representatives across Swedish supply chain in a network and a forum for future partnership and collaboration.
